Responsible for the warranty
program, facilitates problems solvign and corrective actions for
quality items and warranty related complaints in support of plant
objectives, coordinates process capability reviews, monitors
critical characteristics and proess control data, maintains the
Corrective Action database and coordinates the ISO internal audit
activity and system improvements. May assist with contract
reviews.
Primary
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report customer
complaint and warranty information and data. - Facilitate problem
solving and corrective actions for quality related items in support
of plant production activities, supplier received materials items
and customer concerns. -Coordinates process capability review
activity, including monitoring of Critical Characteristics and
Process Control data, evaluation and reporting of capability, and
facilitate review of data. - Monitors and maintains the CAR
(Corrective Action) database and act as CAR champion as required. -
Coordinates ISO9000/2000 and ISO14001 internal audit activity and
support of the quality system improvements as well as maintains
procedures and revisions. - Prepares and presents technical and
program information to team members, customers or management
regarding quality issues and may sign off on government contracts. -
Responsible for gage calibration system and records. - Acts as
back-up for Production Quality Department Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Required:
- Bachelors Degree in
Engineering or Quality - 3 - 5 years related Quality Engineer
experience. - ISO 9000/2000 and ISO 14001 or QS experience with
standards and audit protocols. - Power Transmission (Gearing)
related experience a plus. - Gage Calibration experience. - Computer
experience with gage tracking, metrology methods and keeping current
with new technology trends as it relates to quality systems. - Must
possess excellent verbal and written skills. - Familiarity with Six
Sigma tools, SPD, etc. a plus.
